Common use

Finalo tablet is used to manage male pattern hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia, in men. This medicine belongs to a group of medications called 5α-reductase inhibitors. Besides managing hair loss on the top of the head and the anterior mid-scalp area, it also plays a significant role in reducing the progression of male pattern hair loss.

Dosage and direction

Swallow a whole tablet orally once a day. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Regular use for three months or more might be necessary before you notice any benefits. It's crucial to continue taking this medication to maintain its effects. If you decide to stop, consult your doctor first as discontinuing can lead to reversal of its effect within a year.

Precautions

Caution is advised in older adults and patients with prostate cancer, depression and in patients with liver impairment.

Contraindications

Finalo is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Finasteride. It is also contraindicated in pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children and women with childbearing potential.

Possible side effect

Finalo tablet may lead to the following side effects: Decreased libido: This means you may experience a lower sexual desire than usual; Erectile dysfunction; Ejaculation disorder: You might face difficulties during ejaculation, such as premature or delayed ejaculation.

Drug interaction

Alpha-blockers: Medicines like tamsulosin may interact with Finalo Tablet, potentially affecting blood pressure levels.
ACE inhibitors: When taken with Finalo Tablet, medicines like enalapril or lisinopril can influence the medicine's action.
Beta-blockers: Medicines such as propranolol might interact with Finalo Tablet, potentially leading to altered medicine effects.
HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors: When taken concomitantly, medicines like atorvastatin could interact with Finalo Tablet and possibly influence its action.

Missed dose

If you forget to take your Finalo tablet, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Don't double up on doses without consulting your doctor.

Overdose

If you accidentally take more Finalo tablets than prescribed, you might experience symptoms like dizziness, headache, or nausea. Inform your doctor about the situation.

Storage

Store Finalo tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the container tightly closed to protect the medicine from moisture. Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children.
